It is written to meet the notice requirements of India&#8217;s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. Where you are outside India, local law may give you additional rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Who we are<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The website is operated by the entity below, which is the &#8220;Data Fiduciary&#8221; responsible for your personal data:<\/p>\n\n\n<p>[ail_legal_contact]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. What we collect and why<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We only ask for the minimum needed for each purpose. You are never required to create an account to read the magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Contact form<\/strong> \u2014 your name, email address, an optional subject and your message. Purpose: to reply to your enquiry, story tip, nomination or partnership request. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Newsletter<\/strong> \u2014 your email address only. Purpose: to send you new editions and editorial updates. Legal basis: your consent. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also withdraw by writing to us.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Refund or cancellation requests<\/strong> \u2014 your name, email address, invoice or order reference and the reason for your request. Purpose: to process the request and keep a record of it as required by tax and accounting law.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Comments<\/strong> \u2014 the name and email address you enter, the comment text, and (recorded automatically by WordPress) your IP address and browser identifier, which we use only to detect spam and abuse. Purpose: to publish and moderate discussion. Legal basis: your consent when you submit the comment.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical logs<\/strong> \u2014 our hosting provider records IP addresses, browser type, pages requested and timestamps in server logs. Purpose: security, fraud prevention and keeping the site running. Legal basis: legitimate use for security under Section 7 of the DPDP Act.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Cookies and similar storage<\/strong> \u2014 see our <a href=\"https:\/\/arabinfluenceleaders.com\/cookie-policy\/\">Cookie Policy<\/a>. Non-essential cookies (analytics, embedded media) are only set after you opt in.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. People we feature<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The magazine publishes profiles, interviews and news about business leaders and public figures. Information in these features comes from the person featured (with their agreement), from their organisation, or from publicly available sources. If you are featured and would like a correction, an update or removal of personal information, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Who we share data with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>our web-hosting and email providers, who store the website and deliver form submissions to us;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>a newsletter-delivery service, if we use one, to send editions you have subscribed to;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>analytics providers, only if you have accepted analytics cookies;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>third-party platforms whose content is embedded in an article (for example a video or social-media post). These load only after you choose to load them, and their own privacy policies then apply;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>courts, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where the law requires it.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of these providers may store data outside India (for example in the European Union or the United States). Transfers are permitted under the DPDP Act unless the Central Government restricts a specific country. We choose providers that offer contractual data-protection commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. How long we keep data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact-form and refund enquiries: deleted from our mailbox after <strong>[ail_legal field=&#8221;retention_months&#8221;] months<\/strong>, unless we need them longer for an ongoing matter or a legal obligation (invoices and refund records are kept for the period required by Indian tax law).<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, after which your address is removed within 30 days.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Comments: for as long as the article stays published, or until you ask us to remove them.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Security logs: retained for at least one year as required by the DPDP Rules, then deleted.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Cookie consent record: stored in your browser for six months.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>access<\/strong> a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>correct, complete or update<\/strong> inaccurate data;<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>erase<\/strong> data that is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for;<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>withdraw consent<\/strong> at any time, as easily as you gave it \u2014 withdrawal does not affect processing already done;<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>nominate<\/strong> another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to;<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>complain<\/strong> to us through the grievance process below and, if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To exercise any right, email our Grievance Officer. We may ask you to confirm your identity so we do not release your data to someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This website is intended for readers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our forms, contact the Grievance Officer and we will delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access is limited to named staff with strong, unique passwords, and software is kept up to date. Form submissions are delivered to us by email and are not stored in the website database. If a data breach is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India in the manner and timeframe the DPDP Rules require.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Grievance Officer and complaints<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questions, requests and complaints about personal data \u2014 and complaints about published content under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 \u2014 should be sent to:<\/p>\n\n\n<p>[ail_grievance_officer]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Changes to this policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
